Ongoing is a series of publications on different clusters of Skyrmes. So far the following have been published (most recent first):

Also included are copies of non-copyright documents, such as original marriage certificates and various photographs.

Archives
This section will include family archives which we own or for which we have copyright holder's permission to publish. Amongst the archives held are:
- Family bible - My own ancestors. For most of the 20th century, this was the 'reference' archive about the family tree. It was passed to James Skyrme (b. 1911) from James Thomas Skyrme (b. 1884) from Thomas Skyrme (b. 1857), from George Skyrme (b. 1819) - the earliest record. Not all recent entries are recorded. Click here for transcript of some key entries.
- Diaries and letters - in future this section will contain links to relevant documents. For example, the diaries of James Skyrme (1911-1998) have now been scanned but not yet transcribed. You can find references to them and some abstracts in The Skyrmes of Pembrokeshire (1) (PDF 2.5Mb).
For more general archives and list of books used in this research see sources.
Reports
This section will in future include links to:
- Analyses - for example, tables of migration, occupational analysis
- Mapping - showing distribution and frequency of Skyrme and variants generated by Stephen Archer's surname mappind and GenMap programmes
- Datbase reports - various reports that can be generated from the master database. See also trees.
Photographs
We are currently in the process of recreating online family photo albums that go back to Victorian times.
The left margin background throughout this website - and reproduced here - is circa 1908 from a photograph of the author's grandfather and grandmother: James Skyrme (1884-1937) and Ellen (née Harrison 1882-1859).
